I grew up in a small town on the Sacramento River ~ Rio Vista. My days were spent exploring the rolling hills outside town, lazy afternoons on the beach, or participating in the many performing arts activities that I loved. I played violin and oboe in the Vallejo Youth Symphony, sang in my High School Choir, acted in many a play, and had a show on the local radio and TV station.
In the late 70's I attended Simpson College, a small private Bible College tucked into the hills, overlooking the bay, in San Francisco. I loved all the out of way places and quaint coffee shops and spent many an hour over steamed milk and honey, visiting with friends and reading good books. The performing arts again filled my days. I was part of a touring drama group, and participated in a drama ministry in the city.
After college, I met my dear husband. We spent a few years struggling as he finished his college degree and we then moved to a beautiful, forested 10 acres and built the house of our dreams. We have spent 30+ years perfecting our little bit of heaven.
I have had the great blessing of teaching a educational performing arts program for over 30 years. Now I am spending my time and heart producing/directing/and sometimes acting in, plays for my own community theater company: Cherry on Top Theater. I am the choir director for our local church and have my own community choir. I dance, sing and play my way through life ... and love it!

During the last four years I have fulfilled one of my life dreams! I am a published author! For many years, friends have encouraged me to write the story of my life. Recently, I went through a traumatic experience, and have struggled to reclaim my life. This struggle became the motivation to finally write my story.
Mending the Shattered Mirror chronicles the life-shattering abuse I suffered in psychotherapy, but also tells the life-affirming story of my search for healing and wholeness. Within the pages of this book I have included my remarkable life journey--the sometimes tragic, sometimes triumphant, story of me!
